FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND
NORTH IDAHO...CORRECTED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
307 PM PDT MON JUL 6 2015

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING FOR THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE NORTH
CASCADES...OKANOGAN HIGHLANDS...NORTHEAST WASHINGTON AND THE
NORTHERN IDAHO PANHANDLE...

.DISCUSSION...
A WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL APPROACH THE INLAND NORTHWEST
VIA BRITISH COLUMBIA LATE TONIGHT AND PASS THROUGH THE REGION ON
TUESDAY AND TUESDAY EVENING. THIS WILL LIKELY TRIGGER SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS, ESPECIALLY OVER THE NORTHERN THIRD OF WASHINGTON
AND THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE IDAHO PANHANDLE. WARM AND DRY
CONDITIONS WILL RETURN WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AND THEN TRANSITION
TO A MORE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN LOOKS PROMISING FRIDAY INTO THE
WEEKEND. THIS WILL FEATURE OUR NEXT ROUND OF WINDS FOR THE CASCADE
GAPS AND COLUMBIA BASIN AS WELL AS MORE SEASONAL
TEMPERATURES...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...THE POTENTIAL FOR
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND.
