Cool and dry weather is forecast to continue through Friday. Areas
of frost are likely in the valleys late tonight and early Friday
morning. A weather system dropping south along the West Coast will
bring showers to the district over the weekend, mainly on Saturday
night and Sunday. Shower chances will then continue into the early
part of next week before dry weather returns by midweek. Winds will
mostly be light except locally moderate over the weekend.

Light foothill and mountain showers into early evening today. Next
wave may bring some light showers northward of the I-80 to Highway
20 corridor Friday night and spread southward on Saturday with
light accumulations. Expect some afternoon gustiness.
