.DISCUSSION...surface high pressure is over the burn site, so a
light and variable wind will persist until the high shifts east
enough today to allow for south or southeast wind to develop. For
most of today this southerly component wind is not expected to
exceed much past 10 to 15 mph. Later tonight and all of Thursday,
southerly winds persist and grow stronger. During the day on
Thursday, sustained winds will be approaching 30 mph and gusts
will be up to 45 mph.
