.DISCUSSION...A STRONG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL
CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HOT AND DRY WEATHER FOR THE OREGON CASCADES
THROUGH TUESDAY. A THERMAL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL LINGER NEAR
THE CASCADES AND WILLAMETTE VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON...ADDING A BIT
MORE INSTABILITY TO THE MIX TODAY AND POTENTIALLY ALLOWING COLUMN
HEIGHTS TO REACH 8 TO 10 THOUSAND FEET. THE THERMAL TROUGH WILL
FAVOR THE EAST SIDE OF THE CASCADES A LITTLE MORE ON MONDAY...
POSSIBLY STABILIZING THE AIR MASS SLIGHTLY DUE TO LIGHT TO
MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW.
