.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO WESTERN VIRGINIA THIS AFTERNOON
WILL TRACK SOUTHEAST TOWARD THE NORTH CAROLINA BORDER THIS EVENING
AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE PROGRESSES EAST ACROSS THE MID-
ATLANTIC. UNCERTAINTY REMAINS HIGH WITH REGARD TO WHETHER OR NOT
THESE STORMS WILL SURVIVE EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE. MOISTURE AND
INSTABILITY IN PLACE ACROSS CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA WILL BE MORE THAN
ADEQUATE TO MAINTAIN ANY THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE AREA THIS
EVENING...IN ADDITION TO A POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND
HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.

THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE GREATEST ALONG AND NORTH OF
THE INTERSTATE 85 CORRIDOR...INCLUDING THE TRIANGLE...BETWEEN 7 PM
AND 11 PM THIS EVENING.
