...AREAS OF DENSE FOG ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH MID
MORNING....

A SHALLOW AND STRONG INVERSION COMBINED WITH WEAK SURFACE PRESSURE
GRADIENTS WILL CAUSE AREAS OF DENSE FOG WITH VISIBILITY OF ONE
MILE OR LESS ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS SOUTH OF POINT CONCEPTION THROUGH
MID MORNING. AT 3 AM...SATELLITE IMAGERY SHOWS AN AREA OF DENSE
FOG EXTENDING FROM SAN NICOLAS ISLAND THROUGH CATALINA
ISLAND...BEGINNING TO EXTEND NORTHEASTWARD THROUGH THE SAN PEDRO
CHANNEL TOWARDS THE PALOS VERDES PENINSULA.

MARINERS SHOULD PREPARE FOR ABRUPT CHANGES IN VISIBILITY...AND
USE CAUTION WHILE NAVIGATING TO AVOID EXPOSED ROCKS AND OTHER
VESSELS.
