...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM EDT SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Heat
Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM EDT Sunday.

* Heat Index Values...Up to 109 due to hot temperatures and high
  humidity.

* Timing...High heat index values are expected through this early
  evening, then conditions will improve later this evening. High
  heat indices will return again by late morning Sunday and
  persist through the afternoon.

* Impacts...High heat and humidity will increase the risk for heat
  stress and illness in some people.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. To
reduce the risk of heat illness during outdoor work, the
occupational safety and health administration recommends
scheduling frequent breaks in shaded or air conditioned
environments.

Never leave unattended children or pets in a closed vehicle,
temperatures inside can rise to fatal levels in minutes.
