West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Hurricane Jose was located near
36.0N 71.3W at 5 AM EDT early this morning, moving N or
360 degrees at 08 kt. Jose will move to near 37.1N 71.1W at 2 PM
this afternoon, and move to 38.5N 70.1W by 2 AM tonight as a
tropical storm. Jose will then move to near 39.6N 68.7W by 2 PM
Wed, move to near 40.0N 67.2W by 2 AM Wed night, move to near
39.3N 66.4W by 2 AM Thu night as a post-tropical low, move to
near 38.7N 66.6W by 2 AM Fri night, and then move to near 38.5N
67.0W by 2 AM Sat night. Refer to the  latest National Hurricane
Center advisory on Hurricane Jose. Otherwise, a stationary front
over the N waters will weaken N of the area today. A high pres
ridge will build over the S waters Wed through Sat night.
