...ELEVATED THREAT OF ERRATIC FIRE BEHAVIOR THIS AFTERNOON...

THERE IS AN ELEVATED THREAT OF ERRATIC FIRE BEHAVIOR THIS
AFTERNOON...MAINLY FROM NOON TO AROUND 6 PM...AS WELL AS ENHANCED
WILDFIRE GROWTH AND SPREAD POTENTIAL.

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO BUILD INTO DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
TODAY BRINGING DRIER AIR INTO THE AREA RESULTING IN LOWER RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES THIS AFTERNOON. RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL
FALL INTO THE 20S AND 30S FOR AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF THE I-69C
CORRIDOR THIS AFTERNOON WITH FUELS REMAINING CURED. IN
ADDITION...WINDS CONTINUE TO BE STRONG FROM THE NORTHWEST
PRODUCING 20-FOOT WIND SPEEDS NEAR 15 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 20
MPH.

THE THREAT WILL DIMINISH BY THIS EVENING AS WIND SPEEDS DECREASE
AND TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO COOL ALLOWING RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES
TO RECOVER.
