.DISCUSSION...
Another warm day with gusty south winds for most, though switching
around to the west-northwest in areas near and west of the James
River Valley through the afternoon, as a cold front pushes into the
region. Higher humidity levels should be seen today, with extensive
cloud cover and spotty light rain showers or sprinkles possible.

The cold front will progress through the remainder of the forecast
area tonight, followed by a prolonged stretch of cooler than normal
temperatures and periodic rain chances through the end of the
week.

...HIGH FIRE DANGER...

The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the high category
this afternoon. Unfavorable weather conditions or a low
moisture content of grasses and other dry organic material
on the ground indicate that there is a moderate to high
potential for a fire occurrence. Outdoor burning should be
restricted to early morning or evening hours when wind speeds
are usually lower and the relative humidity is higher.

OUTLOOK FOR TUESDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index
will reach the low category.
