...LATE SEASON FREEZE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNING
ALONG SAN JUAN RIVER VALLEY NEAR FARMINGTON ...

Temperatures may briefly drop 32 degrees Wednesday morning in the
Northwest Plateau, including Farmington and Shiprock. Locations
closer to the San Juan river and other nearby river valleys will
have a greater chance of dropping below freezing. A Freeze Warning
may be issued for Thursday morning when temperatures may drop
below freezing for up to 3 hours.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
