...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHEASTERN MARIPOSA AND WESTERN
TUOLUMNE COUNTIES UNTIL 515 PM PDT...

At 428 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Shriner Lake Campground to near May Lake
High Sierra Camp. Movement was near stationary. Rain estimates of 2
to 4 tenths of inch per hour will likely result in local flooding.
Nickel size hail will be possible with these storms.

Merced Lake High Sierra Camp, Hetch Hetchy Ranger Station, Sunrise
High Sierra Camp, Little Yosemite Valley Campground, Porcupine Flat
Campground, Merced Lake Ranger Station, White Wolf Campground,
Morraine Dome Campground, May Lake High Sierra Camp, Camp 4
Campground, North Pines Campground, Rancheria Falls Wilderness
Campground, Little Yosemite Valley Ranger Station, Yosemite Valley
Visitor Center, Lower Pines Campground, Upper Pines Campground,
Yosemite Creek Campground, Yosemite Glacier Point, Ostrander Lake and
Yosemite Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Dangerous cloud to ground lightning will be possible with these
storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek
a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
