...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE TODAY INTO MONDAY...

RAIN WILL SPREAD WEST TO EAST ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN THIS MORNING...
THEN FALL MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES INTO MONDAY AS A LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM IN THE NORTHERN PLAINS MOVES EAST TOWARD WISCONSIN. TOTAL
RAINFALL THROUGH MONDAY IS EXPECTED TO BE 1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES FOR MUCH
OF UPPER MICHIGAN...WITH LOCALIZED 3 INCH AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. ALTHOUGH
THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY AS TO WHERE THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL
FALL...LOCATIONS NEAR THE WISCONSIN BORDER FROM IRONWOOD TO IRON
MOUNTAIN AND ESCANABA ARE MOST LIKELY TO SEE THE HEAVIER
PRECIPITATION.

THOUGH CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN RELATIVELY DRY OVER THE PAST WEEK...THIS
HEAVY RAIN WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS ACROSS MUCH OF UPPER
MICHIGAN THROUGH THE WEEK.
