...Locally dense fog possible between 3am and 5 am CDT...

With the a slow moving cold front moving across the
region...there will be a brief period in which locally dense fog
will develop in the very moist air ahead of the cold front.

If you are planning travel through parts of Christian and Todd
counties in West Kentucky, including Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville,
Elkton and Trenton Kentucky, be prepared for visibilities due to
fog to drop below a mile later this morning. The time of greatest
concern is between 3 am and 5 am CDT.

As the front moves through this area near daybreak, visibilities
should improve dramatically.

In the meantime, be aware that visibilities on roadways may drop
quickly over a short distance. Be sure to use low beam headlight
and fog lamps to see the road ahead.

Leave enough room between yourself and other drivers on the
roadway and signal your intentions, so that other drivers can
react in time.

If the cold front slows down, isolated patches of dense fog
may become more widespread and persistent overnight. If conditions
warrant, a dense fog advisory may be required.
