POPE...JOHNSON...WILLIAMSON...SALINE...SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON...
SOUTHERN HAMILTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM CDT...

At 814 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Benton to near Carterville to near Cobden.
Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Marion, Herrin, Harrisburg, West Frankfort, Benton, Carterville,
Anna, Eldorado, Johnston City, Mcleansboro, Jonesboro, Rend Lake
Area, Crainville, Cobden, Energy, Goreville, Galatia, West City,
Pittsburg, and Creal Springs.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 1 and 14.
 Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 30 and 79.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
