...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN...SOUTHEASTERN
TRIGG AND TODD COUNTIES UNTIL 130 PM CDT...

At 1240 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Hopkinsville to 11 miles southeast of Cadiz to
10 miles northwest of Big Rock. Movement was east at 50 mph.

Additional storms were developing along an west to east line into
Christian and Trigg counties, from north of Herndon and Pembroke to
Elkton. These storms may also produce gusty winds and hail.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, Elkton, Fort Campbell North, Guthrie,
Pembroke, Trenton, Lafayette, Allensville, Allegre and Herndon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
