TROPICAL DEPRESSION (TD) 27W WAS LOCATED ABOUT 145 MILES EAST-
NORTHEAST OF FARAULEP AND 570 MILES EAST OF YAP ISLAND IN YAP STATE
THIS EVENING. TD 27W WAS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST AT 5 MPH
WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS OF NEAR 35 MPH. IT IS FORECAST TO START
TURNING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. 27W WILL PASS
NORTHEAST OF WESTERN YAP STATE LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING...

THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...AND DEVELOP ACROSS THE REPUBLIC OF PALAU
BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

FOR THE ISLANDS OF SONSOROL...KOROR AND KAYANGEL IN PALAU...
EXPECT SCATTERED HEAVY SHOWERS BECOMING NUMEROUS BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON
WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS PERSISTING THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE
POSSIBLE BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. WEST WIND OF 15 TO 25 MPH WILL
INCREASE AND REACH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS IN HEAVIER SHOWERS

TUESDAY NIGHT. WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
45 MPH IN HEAVIER SHOWERS WILL DECREASE TO BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH BY
TUESDAY EVENING.

FOR ULUL...PULUWAT...FANANU...WENO AND LOSAP IN CHUUK STATE...
EXPECT SCATTERED SHOWERS DECREASING TO ISOLATED TUESDAY AFTERNOON
WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS PERSISTING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO AN INCH IS STILL POSSIBLE BY
TUESDAY AFTERNOON. SOUTHWEST TO SOUTH WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH
HIGHER GUSTS IN HEAVIER SHOWERS ARE ANTICIPATED UNTIL LATE TUESDAY
AFTERNOON.

WINDS AND SEAS WILL BE HAZARDOUS FOR THE OPERATION OF SMALL BOATS...
INTER-ISLAND TRAVEL BY SMALL BOAT SHOULD BE POSTPONED AT LEAST UNTIL
WEDNESDAY. SURF ALONG NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES WILL ALSO BE
HAZARDOUS...PRODUCING DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS. AVOID VENTURING OUT TO
REEF LINES AND EXPOSED BEACHES.

IN CASE TROPICAL DEPRESSION 27W SLOWS DOWN AND TURNS NORTHWESTWARD
LATER THAN FORECAST...WINDS ACROSS PALAU AND WESTERN YAP STATE COULD
BECOME STRONGER THAN EXPECTED. RESIDENTS ACROSS CHUUK AND YAP
STATES...AND THE REPUBLIC OF PALAU SHOULD MONITOR CLOSELY ITS
