AT 554 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES NORTHEAST OF SOUTHERN PINES TO 6 MILES
NORTHWEST OF PINEHURST...AND MOVING WEST AT 10 MPH. RAINFALL RATES
UP TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR HAVE BEEN COMMON WITH THE SLOW MOVING
STORMS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
SOUTHERN PINES...CARTHAGE...PINEHURST...ABERDEEN...WHISPERING
PINES...PINEBLUFF...FOXFIRE...CANDOR AND TAYLORTOWN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY REDUCE VISIBILITY AND RESULT IN
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE
EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
