FOR NORTHWESTERN ST. MARTIN...NORTHWESTERN IBERIA...NORTHEASTERN
VERMILION...LAFAYETTE AND EASTERN ST. LANDRY PARISHES...

AT 335 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS DETECTED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON RADAR CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.  THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM MELVILLE TO JEFFERSON ISLAND..MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH.
