.A SLOW-MOVING COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO SAG SOUTHEAST ACROSS
EASTERN KENTUCKY TODAY AND INTO THE CREST OF THE APPALACHIANS
TONIGHT...SPREADING HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE AREA INITIALLY.
COLDER AIR WILL GRADUALLY MOVE IN WHILE HEAVY PRECIPITATION
LINGERS...CHANGING RAIN TO A MIXTURE OF SNOW...SLEET...AND
FREEZING RAIN FIRST AND THEN ALL SNOW FROM THIS EVENING INTO
TONIGHT. SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED.
SNOW WILL FINALLY TAPER OFF BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

  ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE FROM FREEZING RAIN OF A TENTH OF AN INCH OR
  LESS ARE ALSO EXPECTED.

* IMPACTS...SNOW OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT TO
  TREACHEROUS. IN ADDITION...THE HEAVY WET NATURE OF THIS SNOW

  POSSIBLE.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL DEVELOP SLICK SPOTS AS RAIN CHANGES OVER TO
  FREEZING RAIN. IN ADDITION...HEAVY WET SNOW FALLING ON TOP OF
  THESE SLICK ROADWAYS WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT AND HAZARDOUS.
  PLEASE TAKE EXTREME CAUTION AND AVOID UNNECESSARY TRAVEL IF
  POSSIBLE. HEAVY WET SNOW COULD ALSO LEAD TO DOWNED POWER LINES
  AND TREES AND SINCE THE GROUND IS SATURATED...ISOLATED POWER
