URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Snow To Impact Cascade Passes Saturday...

.Snow will develop early Saturday morning in the Cascades and
persist into the afternoon and evening hours. Snow levels will
start off around 3000 feet south of Lake Chelan and in the valley
floors north, and will rise slowly through the day. Light
accumulations will be possible along sections of Highway
20 through the Upper Methow Valley before noon. Snow is also
expected for Sherman Pass. Republic and Curlew may also see an
inch or two.Snow is expected to transition to rain on Saturday
night.

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Plan on slippery road conditions.
  Total wet snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with mountain
  accumulations up to 5 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Republic, Inchelium, Wauconda, Chesaw Road, Highway 20
  Wauconda Summit, Boulder Creek Road, and Sherman Pass.

* WHEN...5 AM to 7 PM Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Look for reduced visibilities at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for wet snow means periods of wet snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total
  mountain pass snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, with high
  mountain accumulations up to 20 inches, are expected. The Methow
  valley could also see 1 to 3 inches of wet snow Saturday
  morning.

* WHERE...Blewett Pass, Washington Pass and Loup Loup Pass.

* WHEN...5 AM to 7 PM Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Look for reduced visibilities at times.
