.DISCUSSION...

A strong surface high pressure system moves in from the northwest
tonight with light winds and cold temperatures. Given the
efficient cooling overnight, there will likely be some weak
downslope flow down Little Nescopeck Creek into Thursday morning. Skies
Thursday will be clear with little to no wind in the lowest 5000
feet of the atmosphere so with day time heating, predominant wind
direction will likely be up valley especially in the mid to late
morning. Winds will become light and variable in the afternoon
around and after peak heating. Afternoon RH will likely fall below
30% even at elevations above 2000 feet. Thursday night will be
similar to Wednesday night with light down valley wind as there
will be efficient cooling again with clear skies. Friday the high
pressure center moves east with weak southerly flow developing in
the lower atmosphere. With very dry air above the mixed layer and
strong solar heating, RH will likely fall back down under 30% in
the afternoon.
