...River Statement For The Alabama River at Selma...

.Levels have fallen below action stage along the Alabama River at
Selma. Levels are forecast to remain below action stage, and any
overflow along the river has now returned to its banks.


The Alabama River at Selma.
* At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 28.6 feet.
* Action stage is 30 feet.
* Flood stage is 45 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall to 26.3 feet tomorrow evening. It
  will then rise to 26.5 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will fall
  to 25.3 feet Monday evening then rise again.
* Impact...At 30 feet...Pasture lands below Selma become flooded.

This will be the final river statement issued for this event.
