...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN LEE COUNTY THROUGH 915
AM CDT...

At 844 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Beauregard, or 7 miles south of Opelika, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Auburn, Opelika, Smiths, Smiths Station, Beauregard, Bleecker,
Griffen Mill, Monterey Heights, Robert G. Pitts Airport, and
Bartletts Ferry Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
