Otherwise very windy conditions will remain over the area today with snow in the mountains. Across the plains it will be dry with elevated fire conditions in some areas. Tonight snow will continue in the mountains this evening but decrease by midnight. Across the plains it will be dry with decreasing wind. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...Cloudiness and the chance of showers will increase on Wednesday for much of the forecast area. There will be elevated fire weather conditions over southeast Elbert and southern Lincoln counties for a few hours Wednesday afternoon. A cooler, unsettled pattern is expected Thursday and Friday with many areas expecting showers.
