...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS SOUTH OF EDISTO BEACH...

At 550 PM EDT, thunderstorms were located along a line extending from
near Edisto Forty Reef to Hunting Island Reef, moving southeast at 5
knots.

  HAZARD...Winds up to 30 knots and excessive cloud-to-water
           lightning.

  IMPACT...Expect briefly stronger winds and suddenly higher waves.
           Lightning can endanger your life and damage your boat.
           Unplug electrical equipment and avoid metal objects.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and poor visibility in heavy rain. Boaters
should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Put on a
personal flotation device.
