Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
406 AM EDT Thu Apr 4 2024

Patchy fog early this morning will give way to mostly cloudy skies
by mid to late morning, as winds pick up some. Scattered showers
will develop toward midday, as the strong early April sun warms
the airmass some. Low pressure forming off the New Jersey coast
early today will result in gusty winds this afternoon.

Some wet snow will be possible at times across the northern and
western mountains today into Friday night, as colder air works
into the region. A light accumulation of snow will be possible.

Improving conditions are expected for the upcoming weekend, with
a moderating trend early next week. However, area rivers and
streams will continue to run very high into the upcoming weekend.

High temperatures today will range from the 40s across most of
Pennsylvania to the lower 50s across the far southeast. Lows
tonight will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s across most of
the region, to the mid 30s across the southeast. High temperatures
on Friday will once again range from the upper 30s to lower 40s
across the mountains, to the upper 40s across the far southeast.
