...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Missouri, including the following
  county, Atchison.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 406 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated between 1.5 and 3.5
    inches of rain fell earlier on Monday night. Runoff from this
    rain will continue to produce flooding this morning.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tarkio, Rock Port, Fairfax, Blanchard, Westboro, Watson and
    Phelps City.
  - This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 100 and 123.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
