...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern Macon,
Peach, central Houston and southeastern Crawford Counties through
1215 PM EDT...

At 1144 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Fort Valley, moving
east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, up to penny sized hail, frequent cloud
         to ground lightning and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Perry, Fort Valley, Warner Robins, Centerville, Byron, Marshallville,
Robins AFB, Saint Louis, Robins Air Force Base, Sand Bed, Houston
Lake, Lakewood, Powerville, Elberta, Lee Pope, Bonaire, Miami Valley,
and Kathleen.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for central
Georgia. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 500 PM EDT for
west central Georgia.
