...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MCDOWELL AND
NORTHERN RUTHERFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM EDT...

At 227 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Rutherfordton, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sugar Hill, Thermal City, Glenwood, Sunshine, Fero, Dysartsville,
Union Mills, and Shingle Hollow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
