The National Weather Service in League City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Polk County in southeastern Texas...
  Northwestern San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas...
  Southern Trinity County in southeastern Texas...
  East Central Walker County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 819 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Onalaska, Groveton, Point Blank, Sebastopol, northwestern West
  Livingston and Oakhurst.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Wells Landing Road at Kickapoo Creek and Carmona Road at Piney Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
