Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
510 AM EDT Fri May 3 2024

.DISCUSSION...Showers and storms will be moving into the area this
morning, as a cold front approaches from the west. The front will
gradually work across the area during the first half of the weekend,
while another front may move to near the OH River and stall to end
the weekend. Showers and storms will occur from time to time over
the next week, as waves of low pressure move from west to east along
the sluggish boundaries, and interact with the warm, moist, and
unstable air that will be in place across the region. The afternoon
and evening periods will be most active, when heating and instability
will be maximized.
