...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CAMERON...SOUTHERN
BEAUREGARD...CALCASIEU PARISHES IN SOUTHWESTERN LOUISIANA AND EASTERN
ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 800 AM CDT...

At 634 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Fields to near Forest Heights to near Port
Neches. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Bridge City, Westlake, West Orange,
Vinton, Iowa, Grand Lake, Moss Bluff, De Quincy, Ragley, Lake Charles
Regional Airport, Starks, Lunita, Hacketts Corner, Toomey, Lebleu
Settlement, Gillis, and Edgerly.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 872.
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 43.
 Interstate 210 between mile markers 1 and 12.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
