Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 09Z, or 2 AM PDT, a 1030 MB high was
centered 900 NM northwest of Point Conception. A 1000 MB thermal
low was located in southern Nevada. Hazardous NW winds and
dangerous choppy seas will affect the outer waters into the
middle of the week. Gusty winds will continue into the weekend, with
another chance of hazardous conditions in the later portion of the
weekend.
