.DISCUSSION...

Drier air is moving into the region today, lowering humidities into the
teens across the mountains and Antelope Valley. Some additional drying
is expected tonight into Thursday as winds pick up a little more
easterly component. Weak offshore flow by Thursday morning will help
generate some locally gusty northeast winds, with the focus in the
mountains, Central Coast foothills, as well as parts of southern Santa
Barbara County. These areas could potentially see northeast winds
gusting between 25 and 45 mph, with some humidities dropping into the
high single digits across the interior.

Dry and mild weather is expected to continue on Friday, then much cooler
weather over the weekend as a cold low pressure system moves into the
area. There is a chance of light rain and high elevation mountain snow
Saturday night into Sunday morning.
