Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
313 AM CDT Sat May 11 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Wetting rains are expected over the course of the day today with the
exception of areas west of the Davis Mountains and along portions of
the Rio Grande. Excellent recoveries will be seen this morning and
tomorrow morning before single digit RHs and increased winds take
hold during the day on Sunday leading to elevated fire weather
conditions. Winds stay on the lighter side into this coming week,
but poor moisture return will continue to aid in the drying of fuels
for areas west of the Pecos River.

Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
