...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN PECOS...
NORTHWESTERN BREWSTER...SOUTHEASTERN JEFF DAVIS AND EASTERN PRESIDIO
COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM CDT...

At 433 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles northwest of Marathon, or 18 miles east of Alpine, moving
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Alpine, Marathon, Camp Mitre Peak, Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport,
Paisano Pass, Sierra Madera, and Firestone Test Track.

This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 231 and 249.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
southwestern Texas.
