Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
253 PM EDT Sat May 4 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A stalled front will linger over the area today bringing isolated
to widely scattered showers and storms. The front will then retreat
northward tomorrow. Thereafter, weak troughing across the Eastern
Seaboard and warm moist southerly flow will continue the unsettled
conditions through early next week. Drier conditions are expected
by mid week, but will lead to increasing heat and humidity as
ridging builds.
