This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms likely this evening
through tonight, with the highest chances along and south of
Interstate 44. Potential for localized excessive rainfall and
minor flooding across south central Missouri. No severe weather
expected.

Gusty north-northeast winds at 25 to 35 mph late this evening into
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Showers and a few thunderstorms dissipate from west to east
through Thursday morning.

Elevated to significant fire weather potential on Thursday
afternoon with gusty northwest winds of 30 to 40 mph and relative
humidities as low as 25 to 40 percent (lowest over southeast
Kansas). Fire concerns will vary depending on how much rain
falls. Additional elevated fire weather potential through
Saturday.

There is potential for severe weather Monday into Wednesday next
week, but confidence in details is low at this time.
