...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND
DOUGLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 1045 PM CDT...

At 1006 PM CDT, the public reported a strong thunderstorm over
southeastern Lawrence, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Public. At 1005 CDT the public reported gusty winds in
         Lawrence.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lawrence, Eudora, McLouth, Clinton, Lone Star, Pleasant Grove,
Clinton Lake, Globe, and Williamstown.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 194 and 205.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.
