...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR THE CENTRAL COAST UNTIL 11 PM
PST THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A HIGH SURF
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PST THIS EVENING.

* WAVES...WEST-NORTHWEST SWELLS OF 17 TO 20 FEET WILL SUBSIDE TO
  15 FEET LATE TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...BEACH EROSION AND SNEAKER WAVES ARE POSSIBLE. SNEAKER
  WAVES ARE WAVES THAT SUDDENLY RACE FARTHER UP THE BEACH THAN
  TYPICAL WAVES. SNEAKER WAVES CAN CATCH PEOPLE COMPLETELY OFF
  GUARD AND KNOCK THEM OFF THEIR FEET.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN THE
ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION AND DANGEROUS
SURF CONDITIONS.
