...REMARKS...HIGH PRESSURE DOMINATED THE WEST COAST FOR MUCH OF THE
MONTH OF DECEMBER. THIS KEPT EUREKA MUCH DRIER THAN NORMAL FOR THE
MONTH. LESS THAN 25 PERCENT OF THE NORMAL RAINFALL FELL DURING THE
MONTH TO MAKE IT THE EIGHTH DRIEST DECEMBER RECORDED.

THE HIGH PRESSURE ALSO HAD AN IMPACT ON THE TEMPERATURES. SOME DAYS
SAW AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES ABOVE NORMAL WITH CLEAR SKIES AND
OFFSHORE FLOW. THERE WERE ALSO DAYS WHEN LOW CLOUDS PERSISTED
THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY AND KEPT TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S. OVERALL
TEMPERATURES ENDED UP CLOSE TO NORMAL. THE DRY CONDITIONS ALLOWED
TEMPERATURE TO DROP BELOW NORMAL AT NIGHT AND OVERNIGHT LOW
TEMPERATURES AVERAGED AROUND 2 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THE MONTH.
NO RECORDS WERE SET FOR THE MONTH.
