...THE LEWISTON ID AIRPORT CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR THE MONTH OF
SEPTEMBER 2014...


SEPTEMBER 2014 BROUGHT WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS TO
SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON AND THE SOUTH IDAHO PANHANDLE.

THE MONTH STARTED OFF ON SLIGHTLY COOLER THAN NORMAL AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM CLIPPED THE AREA. TEMPERATURES QUICKLY REBOUNDED
INTO THE LOW 90S IN LEWISTON FROM THE 6TH THROUGH THE 8TH.  ANOTHER
COOL DOWN FOLLOWED WHICH WAS ACCOMPANIED BY DRIER AIR FROM THE 10TH
THROUGH THE 12TH WHICH BROUGHT COOL NIGHT TIME TEMPERATURES.
LEWISTON DROPPED TO 41 DEGREES ON THE 11TH WITH PULLMAN DROPPING TO
32 DEGREES.  A PROLONGED PERIOD OF WARMER TEMPERATURES FOLLOWED WITH
READINGS CONSISTENTLY 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE 15TH
THROUGH THE 26TH.  A FEW SHOWERS OCCURRED TOWARDS THE END OF THIS
STRETCH OF WARMTH AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHED.  LATE ON THE
29TH INTO THE 30TH A COLD FRONT BROUGHT RAIN SHOWERS WITH RAINFALL
TOTALS FOR MOST AREAS RANGING BETWEEN 0.10-0.30 INCHES OF RAIN
EXCEPT FOR AROUND A HALF INCH AROUND MOSCOW AND KELLOGG.

ONE RECORD WAS TIED DURING THE MONTH AT LEWISTON AIRPORT.  THE LOW
TEMPERATURE OF 62 DEGREES ON THE 18TH TIED THE WARMEST ON RECORD FOR
THE DATE.
