JUNE WAS WETTER THAN NORMAL IN OMAHA...WITH PRECIPITATION OF 4.61
INCHES COMING IN 0.43 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL.  THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE
OF 73.4 WAS 1.3 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

THE FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH WAS ESPECIALLY RAINY...WITH MORE
PERSISTENT ABOVE-NORMAL TEMPERATURES.  FROM THE 1ST THROUGH THE
15TH...MEASURABLE RAIN FELL ON 8 DAYS...TOTALING 4.22 INCHES.  THE
RAINIEST DAY OF THE MONTH WAS THE 11TH...WITH 1.91 INCHES OF RAIN AT
EPPLEY AIRFIELD.  THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF THE MONTH OCCURRED ON
THE 1ST...WITH A LOW OF 54...WHILE THE 12TH WAS ON THE COOL SIDE...
WITH A HIGH OF ONLY 68 DEGREES.  THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE
MONTH ALSO OCCURRED DURING THAT FIRST HALF...WITH 97 DEGREES ON THE
9TH MARKING THE FIRST 90+ DEGREE READING OF 2015.

FROM THE 16TH THROUGH THE 30TH...RAINFALL WAS MORE SPORADIC AND
GENERALLY ON THE LIGHTER SIDE...AND TEMPERATURES FLUCTUATED JUST A
FEW DEGREES ABOVE AND BELOW NORMAL.  TEMPERATURES REACHED 90 OR
GREATER TWO MORE TIMES...ON THE 20TH AND THE 22ND.  MEASURABLE RAIN
FELL ON 4 DAYS...TOTALLING 0.39 INCHES...WITH MOST OF THAT FALLING
ON THE 24TH AND THE 30TH.

OVERALL...JUNE WAS NOTABLE FOR BEING A FAIRLY QUIET MONTH...WITH AN
ABSENCE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...TEMPERATURE EXTREMES...OR
SIGNIFICANT FLOODING.
