Coastal Waters Forecast for the Florida Keys

Florida Bay...Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to
south of Dry Tortugas...and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
Mexico...including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height...which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas
429 PM EST Mon Nov 20 2017

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh northeast to east breezes will moderate across
all coastal waters surrounding the Florida Keys this evening.
Breezes will steadily diminish tonight through Tuesday. A broad
area of low pressure will likely develop over the Gulf of Mexico
late Wednesday, then slowly move northeast towards the Florida
Peninsula Wednesday night and Thursday, and move east of Florida
by Friday night.

The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream current, as of
November 18th, 2017,

 3 NM South of Sand Key Light, off Key West.
 Less than 1 NM South of Sombrero Key Light, off Marathon.
 1 NM Southeast of Alligator Reef Light, off Islamorada.
 2 NM Southeast of Molasses Reef Light, off Key Largo.
 4 NM East of Carysfort Reef Light, off Ocean Reef.
