This hydrologic outlook includes the following rivers:
The following river information is based on future predicted
rainfall. The exact amount, intensity, timing, and location of the
rain that will occur is still uncertain. These outlook stages are
provided to show what may be expected if the forecast precipitation
occurs. Once there is more certainty about the river forecasts, a
flood warning or statement will be issued if the threat materializes.
For the Illinois River at Henry...the latest stage is 21.0 feet at 11
AM Wednesday. Flood stage is 23.0 feet. Minor flooding is forecast...
with a crest of 23.0 feet Friday evening...which is equal to the
flood stage. The river should rise above the flood stage of 23.0 feet
Friday evening. The river should fall below flood stage Saturday
afternoon. At 23.0 feet...Water begins to affect the marina in Henry
along with minor flooding of land adjacent to the river.
For the Illinois River near Peoria...the latest stage is 15.7 feet at
11 AM Wednesday. Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Minor flooding is
forecast...with a crest of 18.4 feet Saturday evening...which is 0.4
feet above flood stage. The river should rise above the flood stage
of 18.0 feet Friday morning. The river should fall below flood stage
Monday morning. At 18.0 feet...Some flooding begins to bottomland not
protected by levees.
