...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT WILL MOVE OVER THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT PROVIDING A FOCUS FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE
AIRMASS AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL BECOME VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE
RESULTING IN THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAINFALL. THE FRONT MAY
BECOME STATIONARY NEAR THE KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA STATE LINE BRINGING
MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAIN TO THE AREA THROUGH AT LEAST
WEDNESDAY.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN TWO AND FIVE INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
THE WATCH AREA WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND
  SOUTHEAST KANSAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTH
  CENTRAL KANSAS...BUTLER...COWLEY...HARPER...SEDGWICK AND
  SUMNER. IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...ALLEN...CHAUTAUQUA...ELK...
  GREENWOOD...LABETTE...MONTGOMERY...NEOSHO...WILSON AND
  WOODSON.

* FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.

* HEAVY RAIN WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
  EVENING...CONTINUING PERIODICALLY THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY.
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN TWO AND FIVE INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH
  LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* RIVERS AND STREAMS MAY RISE WITH FLASH FLOODING A POSSIBILITY.
