...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN AND CENTRAL LUBBOCK COUNTY...

At 221 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms from downtown Lubbock and Lubbock International
Airport eastward to west of Idalou and just west of Ransom Canyon.
These areas may experience some flooding by 315 pm.

Due to a very moist airmass...these storms will be capable of very
heavy downpours and wind gusts to 50 mph. Minor flooding of low
lying and flood prone areas is likely. Watch for several inches of
water on roadways. Also some very small hail could occur with these
storms.

Some locations that will experience flooding
include... Lubbock, Shallowater, Texas Tech University, Lubbock
International Airport, Downtown Lubbock and New Deal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
