Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Taunton MA
342 PM EDT Sat Sep 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...
The weakening remnants of Jose will continue to slowly drift
south this weekend. High pressure builds in for Sunday.
Temperatures on Sunday will soar way above normal and may reach
the lower 90s in some interior locations. Minimum relative
humidities for Sunday will be 40 to 50 percent across much of
interior, 50 to 60 percent across the Massachusetts eastern
coastal plain and Rhode Island, and 70 to 80 percent across most
of the Cape and islands.

OUTLOOK...Monday through Friday...

High pressure will build in from the Great Lakes with more dry
weather and much above normal temperatures for Monday and Tuesday.
A cold front dropping south from Canada could bring scattered showers
for mid week and cooler temperatures. There is still some uncertainty
with the track of Hurricane Maria, but the current forecast
continues to track her offshore and southeast of Southern New
England late next week.
