...Dry Through Thursday With Rain Returning On Friday...

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will gradually move down from Canada and settle in
over the region through Thursday night. No precipitation is
expected during this period with minimum relative humidities today
and Thursday generally in the 40 percent range. Winds will be from
the northwest today and may be a bit gusty this afternoon...but
with the high right over the area on Thursday winds will generally
be light and variable. The pattern will change on Friday as a
trough of low pressure moves out of the Upper Midwest and into the
northeast United States late Friday into early Saturday. Moisture
will be on the increase during this time period with higher
humidities expected along with increasing chances for showers and
some thunderstorms. The optimal time for widespread precipitation
will be Friday afternoon through early Saturday morning. Rainfall
amounts during this period will range from a third of an inch to
three quarters of an inch.
