FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
327 AM EST TUE FEB 9 2016

.DISCUSSION...
COOL HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD INTO THE AREA TODAY
AS ANOTHER UPPER DISTURBANCE CROSSES THE REGION. EXPECT TO SEE
INCREASING CLOUDS THIS AFTERNOON BUT MOISTURE IS LIMITED SO
NOT EXPECTING ANY PRECIPITATION WITH THE PASSING DISTURBANCE.

SURFACE AND TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE STRONG BOTH TODAY AND
WEDNESDAY FROM THE WEST AROUND 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS 25
TO 30 MPH. MIXING HEIGHTS WILL BE FAVORABLE AROUND 6000 FT
EACH DAY. MIN RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE AROUND 30
PERCENT TODAY AND LOWER ON WEDNESDAY NEAR THE 25 PERCENT
THRESHOLD WHERE CONDITIONS MAY APPROACH RED FLAG CRITERIA.
GOOD DISPERSION IS EXPECTED AND NO FOG THREAT GIVEN WINDS
STAYING UP THROUGH THE NIGHT.
