FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
447 AM CDT TUE JUN 2 2015

.DISCUSSION...
THE WEAK COLD FRONT WHICH PUSHED ACROSS NORTHERN ALABAMA LATE
MONDAY WILL REMAIN TO THE SOUTH OF THE REGION THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. ALTHOUGH LIGHT NORTHERLY WINDS WILL PREVAIL ACROSS
THE LOCAL AREA...AN UPPER LEVEL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE DRIFTING
SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS EAST TENNESSEE WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR A
FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHEAST ALABAMA. MOISTURE
LEVELS WILL REMAIN HIGH EVEN IN THE WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT...
WITH AFTERNOON RH VALUES IN THE 50-60 PERCENT RANGE TODAY AND
TOMORROW. TRANSPORT WINDS OF 5 MPH OR LESS WILL LEAD TO FAIR
SMOKE DISPERSION...AND THE THREAT FOR NOCTURNAL FOG DEVELOPMENT
WILL REMAIN HIGH.

A WARMER WEATHER PATTERN MORE TYPICAL OF SUMMER WILL RETURN BY
THE END OF THE WEEK...WITH A LOW CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS
CONTINUING ACROSS MAINLY NORTHEAST ALABAMA. A MORE ACTIVE PATTERN
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP THIS WEEKEND AND
EARLY NEXT WEEK.
