Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
324 PM CDT Sun Apr 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Cloudy skies and cooler conditions will continue across Northern
Alabama into Monday, as the system that brought showers to the
region during Saturday slowly exits to the east. An extensive
area clouds around this system and cold temperatures aloft will
result in periods of light showers into the late night. Patchy
fog development is also possible, especially in sheltered spots
and/or locations that received recently heavy rainfall. Any fog
that forms should dissipate shortly after daybreak Monday.
LVORI numbers where highest over portions of NE Alabama both
late tonight and Monday night.

Cloud coverage however is not expected to thin until the
afternoon from west to east. Dry weather, with warmer
temperatures are expected into the middle of the week.

Lighter winds at the surface and aloft and lower mixing heights
should yield Fair smoke dispersion rates on Monday. Generally
Good far northwest Alabama, to Fair elsewhere dispersion rates
are forecast on Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy late night and
early morning fog is possible late tonight and early Monday
morning, and before daybreak Tuesday. Fog will be more likely in
sheltered areas and locations near bodies of water.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None.
