FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
323 PM CST SAT JAN 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL RETURN LATE TONIGHT...AS A STORM
SYSTEM FORMING OVER THE GREAT PLAINS MOVES TOWARDS THE REGION...
AND A WARM FRONT MOVES NORTHWARD ACROSS THE REGION. SOME OF THE
STORMS COULD BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE...WITH LARGE HAIL AND STRONG
TO DAMAGING WIND GUSTS THE MAIN THREATS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
IS ALSO POSSIBLE. AS THE SYSTEM SLOWLY MOVES EASTWARD...SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY. SHOWERS SHOULD
CONTINUE SUNDAY NIGHT...THEN TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST DURING
MONDAY. GENERALLY GOOD TO GOOD DISPERSION RATES ARE EXPECTED ON
SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
